ABC Gala

Each summer, ABC hosts supporters at its annual ABC Gala. ABC’s annual gala remains a moment in the year when we are blessed to honor and recognize leaders, uplift the body of work we carry, and renew the purpose that each partner, donor, and staff member of ABC carries within them each day.

Women On The Move

Women On The Move has become known throughout the Greater Baltimore community as a flagship event that facilitates impactful networking and high-value mentorship opportunities. Audiences of this event are motivated women at all stages of age, career, and influence. Past speakers and guests have included Jada Pinkett-Smith, Sunny Hostin, and Shelonda Stokes.

This annual in-person ABC empowerment & networking event features a guest panel of women leaders and entrepreneurs, with one-on-one mentoring opportunities and an open networking reception.

Workforce Collaborative

ABC envisions an economy where structural and institutional racism is being dismantled and provides equitable opportunities for all people to work, advance and build financial security and generational wealth to benefit their families and communities. Our work addresses the impacts of structural and institutional racism on access to employment and opportunity for wealth and strives to change the future for African Americans, especially as it relates to workforce development and economic outcomes. If we are to truly “move the needle” in advancing racial equity, while creating a more economically viable and sustainable world, we must work to eliminate racialized structural barriers to economic opportunities for African Americans. ABC's Workforce Collaborative work has a strong commitment to disrupting the workforce ecosystem and offers interventions that increase positive change.

Digital Engagement

In alignment with ABC's role as an educator, advocate, and supporter to eliminate race-based structural barriers, ABC will use digital engagement to regularly uplift Black individuals who are a “first” in their field or industry and to highlight Black Business Owners/Entrepreneurs through our "First" Fridays and Black Business Spotlight series.
