As a mental health service provider, Steinway administers evaluations and treatment plans for counseling children, adolescents, adults, families on an out-patient basis. Steinway aslo provides community residences for children and adults, a Brooklyn based day treatment program for adolescents; family support services; violence mediation program; beacon high school program are established as vital community resources. As a social service provider Steinway's Preventive Services Unit performs outpatient multi modal evaluations and treatment plans for counseling to families with children under the age of 18 who are at risk of abuse/neglect and placement into foster care. Additionally, Steinway's Scattered Site Housing program provides housing, comprehensive mental health and substance abuse counseling, case management and resident management services to individuals and families affected with the HIV virus.
