Major goals include decreasing the school drop-out rate through academic skills building and recreation, increasing family self-sufficiency, and providing job readiness programs and services. Specific program offerings include adolescent vocational exploration; GED preparation; cultural enrichment; tutoring; substance abuse prevention; counseling; day care for children; street outreach; karate and programs for latch-key youth. Claremont also operates a Fresh Air Fund Program, summer day camp, and an evening and adult center.
